Primary Residential Treatment

Primary Treatment is the program everyone is referring to when they think of themselves or someone they know ‘going to Rehab’.  At Providence Recovery Center, this is where the real work of recovery begins. To give you a better idea of the daily routine, please look at our Client’s Daily Schedule.

During this phase of treatment, the individual will be assigned to a primary care professional, or ‘Case Manager’. The Case Manager will utilize the best questionnaires and assessment tools available, including a private interview, in order to gain a comprehensive picture of the individual’s history. Together with the client, an individual treatment plan will be formulated; addressing specified problems identified during the assessment process, and designed especially to meet the client's specific needs and goals. The Providence treatment plan includes Extended Care, Continuing Care, and Transitional Care needs.

The true goal of Primary Treatment is to give individuals a chance to learn about the damage created by the disease of chemical dependency, to develop and demonstrate new strategies for coping with triggers, unmanageable feelings, and environmental settings which jeopardize their recovery. Providence staff teaches clients that there truly can be a life free of chemical dependency. Clients discover that clean and sober living is actually more rewarding and even more fun than life in addiction.
